GREENSBURG – Mar. 31 – Bishop Larry J. Kulick will celebrate the Chrism Mass at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral on Thursday, April 6 at 10 a.m.
Priests, deacons and seminarians will join Bishop Kulick as he blesses and consecrates the holy oils that will be used throughout the year for the celebration of the sacraments. It is also the Mass where the priests of the Diocese rededicate their ministry to the people of the Church as well as to the Bishop.
After the Mass, the holy oils are taken by the priests back to their parishes for the celebration of the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, Anointing of the Sick and ordination.
The Chrism Mass will also be livestreamed on the Diocese of Greensburg Facebook Page.
The faithful from the Diocese of Greensburg are welcome to attend.
