Awards presented at Queen of Angels School in North Huntingdon

NORTH HUNTINGDON– Students at Queen of Angels Catholic School in North Huntingdon recently received awards.
Al Borgony from the Knights of Columbus presented an award to 6th grader Graham Kelly. Kelly was the regional winner in the Free Throw basketball competition.
School Nurse, Mrs. Anita Miklos, recently made a special presentation from the Pennsylvania Dental Association (PDA). The 2023 National Children’s Dental Health Month (NCDHM) statewide poster contest winner was Jessica McGinley. Jessica received a $100.00 prize and a certificate of recognition. Her poster says “Dental Health Rocks!” She created a rock band trio of teeth musicians performing with dental “instruments”.
The winning poster was selected from over 250 clever and well-designed entries submitted to the PDA central office in Harrisburg for judging. The contest was open to all third-grade students enrolled in any Pennsylvania public, private, or charter school. Jesscia is a 3rd grader and is 9 years old.
