As you know, the Middle East has once again erupted in conflict. During this traumatic time, we turn our attention to the words of His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, who in his Angelus on Sunday called us all to remember that, “Stability and peace are not built with mutual threats, nor with weapons, which sow destruction, pain, and death, but only through a reasonable, authentic, and responsible dialogue.”
As the people of the Middle East face this recent military action, I humbly ask that the faithful of the Diocese of Greensburg join together in prayer for a quick and peaceful resolution to this conflict. Let ask Christ, the Prince of Peace, to protect those who are in harm’s way, to protect all military personnel, to welcome into the Kingdom, those who have lost their lives, and to provide the wisdom and guidance needed to bring a just and peaceful end to this conflict.
