
Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Greensburg Seeks Nominations for 2023 Salt & Light Awards

GREENSBURG – September 2, 2022 — Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Greensburg is seeking nominations for the annual Communities of Salt & Light Awards. Nominations are being accepted for Humanitarianism, Philanthropy or Outstanding Human Service Organization within the four county area of the Diocese of Greensburg. Nominations for the awards are being accepted until Oct. 31st. Winners will be presented their awards by Bishop Larry J. Kulick at the 23rd Annual Communities of Salt and Light Awards Dinner in April, 2023.
In order to be considered for the Communities of Salt and Light Awards, nominees must currently live (or be headquartered) in the four county area of the Diocese of Greensburg (Armstrong, Fayette, Indiana, & Westmoreland). The nominee must be one whose lifelong deeds are verifiable and exhibit a significant level of time and talent expended (for the Humanitarian Award) treasure shared (for the Philanthropic Award) service and action provided (for the Outstanding Human Service Organization).
Since 1998. The Annual Communities of Salt and Light Awards Dinner has raised more than $1 million to provide help and assistance to nearly 9,000 individuals across the Diocese of Greensburg.
