Diocese of Greensburg Announces Hiring of Managing Director of Development

GREENSBURG, Pa, April 1, 2022 — Bishop Larry J. Kulick, JCL, announced today that Paul D. Puleo has been named Managing Director of Development for the Diocese of Greensburg. Paul officially joins the senior team of the Diocese today to manage leadership, strategy and planning for development efforts which support the Church’s missions and ministries.
Puleo has held several leadership positions for FNB Corporation, where he worked for nearly 39 years. Most recently, Puleo was Senior Vice President and Senior Sales Manager for the Small Business Banking Division at FNB.
Puleo is extensively involved in serving the community. He serves as past chairman of the Economic Growth Connection and treasurer of the Greater Latrobe Partners in Education. He served as the past chairman for the Westmoreland and Latrobe Chambers of Commerce. He is the past chairman of the Airport Authority, and the former United Way Campaign Chairman. He is a longtime PIAA basketball official. For more than a decade he was a trustee with the Catholic Institute, most recently as past chairman.
In announcing Puleo’s hiring, Bishop Kulick said, “Paul Puleo is a respected leader in his field. He is also known throughout our community as a faithful servant. I truly believe he will be a great asset as we continue to seek support for our many diocesan ministries, and work to promote stewardship among our faith community in the Diocese of Greensburg.”
“I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to serve the Church in a way that leverages my professional and volunteer experience. My hope is to sustain the many good works of the Diocese of Greensburg. I am especially looking forward to collaborating with clergy, lay leaders and parishioners to advance the mission through a culture of stewardship,” Puleo said.
Puleo attended Clarion University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He also attended the Central Atlantic School of Banking at Bucknell University and the BAI School of Executive Management at Emory University. He and his wife Laurie have four children, Megan, Emily, Jacob and Haley. The Puleo family lives in Latrobe and attends St. Benedict Parish.
