Carlos Alberto Ibay is a Filipino-American concert pianist, tenor and organist who has been blind since birth and started playing piano when he was only two years old and started singing when he was three years old. He has taught himself seven languages and has performed in over a dozen countries. His music has reached the
stages of the Kennedy Center in DC, Carnegie Hall in New York City, the Cultural Center of the Philippines, the Rachmaninoff Center in Russia as well as St Peter’s Basilica in Rome. He regularly performs at local venues, churches, fundraisers and private events which include a monthly opera night at Trattoria da Franco Restaurant in Alexandria,VA.
Carlos was only 1 pound 14 ounces when he was born and barley survived 3 months in an incubator. His blindness did not stop him from praising God for all that He has done for him thus leading him to share his talents with others. His charisma, wit and infectious joy imparted through his music make his performances memorable to his
audiences. He thanks Saint Carlo Acutis for helping him find his lovely wife, Lovancy, who is a concert violinist and supports him in all of his performances.
