St. James Parish, Apollo Night at the Races

Saint James Parish is holding a Night at the Races in the parish activities center, 109 Owens View Avenue, Apollo on Saturday, October 21.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.  Guests must be at least 21 years of age.  Chili, chicken noodle soup, hot dogs, ham and turkey sliders, macaroni and cheese, dessert, and beverages will be available at 6 p.m. The horse races begin at 7 p.m.  The $20 admission ticket covers the food and drink and an opportunity for participants to wager $2 bets on a total of 11 horse races.  50/50 raffles, theme basket raffle, instant lottery tickets raffle, and pull tabs will also be featured.  Those who are present will be eligible to win an extra $500 cash bonus prize.  For tickets call Linda @ 724-882-8776.
