Q. What is the purpose of these Listening Sessions?

A. As part of our celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Diocese of Greensburg, Bishop Larry J. Kulick has scheduled Listening Sessions in all seven deaneries this spring. Bishop Kulick invites the faithful to gather and reflect on Our Foundation – Our Future as we work together, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to shape the future of our parishes, faith formation programs, Catholic Schools, and how we serve those in need. This time of participation and collaboration will help as we prayerfully discern the needs of our diocese now and for future generations.

Q. What should I expect at this Listening Session?

A. The evening begins promptly at 6PM and ends typically around 8:30 PM. There will be breaks in between and refreshments are served.

The Listening Session begins with a prayer service led by Bishop Kulick followed by his opening comments. Each member of Bishop Kulick’s Curia will offer a 5 to 7 minute presentation on their offices and their services to our diocese, our parishes and our schools. This presentation does take about an hour.

Following the presentation, participants will be asked 2 specific questions about the information they heard – for table discussion. Bishop Kulick will visit each table to hear the topics being discussed.
Q. How do I know I am being heard?

A.
All responses are collected by a table facilitator who will present all topics discussed for dissemination to Bishop Kulick.

Q. What if I am not able to attend the Listening Session in my Deanery?

A. Please feel free to attend any of the sessions.  You don’t need to be a parishioner in the Deanery in which the session is being held to attend that session.
