BELLE VERNON – May 3, 2022 – Students from Mary Queen of Apostles Catholic School in New Kensington, Queen of Angels Catholic School in North Huntingdon, St. Sebastian Regional Catholic School in Belle Vernon, and St. John the Evangelist Catholic School in Uniontown competed in the first ever Diocesan Reading Competition. The competition was held at St. Sebastian Regional Catholic School. The students read 10 books over the course of the school year and answered questions about each book during multiple rounds.
The results were as follows:
First Place: The Eaglettes, St. John the Evangelist Regional Catholic School

Second Place: Fiction Addiction, St. Sebastian School

Third Place: Guardians, Queen of Angels

Fourth Place: Novel Characters, Mary Queen of Apostles
