Msgr. Riffle will remain as rector of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg, but will no longer be the Managing Director of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Greensburg. Msgr. Riffle has served as Managing Director of Catholic Charities since June 21, 1995. Since his ordination on May 5, 1979, he has held a number of positions in the Diocese and its parishes.
In an interview with The Catholic Accent, Msgr. Riffle said: “I would like to thank Bishop Kulick for the trust that he has placed in me by assigning me to the position of Vicar General of the Diocese of Greensburg. I want to help him in any way I can to facilitate the spread of the Gospel.
“I know that as our leaders have had in the past, we have many challenges and opportunities ahead.
“If we look at everything as though it is a challenge, the work ahead will be daunting. If we look at everything as though it is an opportunity, our Diocese will respond in a way that can serve the people of God!
“Alongside Bishop Kulick, I want to give all the parishioners of the Diocese of Greensburg hope and work diligently to strengthen our faith community.”
