UNIONTOWN – Kilaiah, Kinya and Kiyekke Rose are a triple threat in academics and athletics at St. John the Evangelist Regional Catholic School.
The triplets finished first, second or third in all of the school’s cross country meets this past season. They also play soccer.
“It’s always neck-and-neck with them,” said the girls’ mother, Kishauna Rose. “I love watching them. It’s like, ‘wow,’ these are my kids. They are out there running, having fun and being successful.”
She said the triplets are as dedicated to academics as they are to athletics.
“They take it all seriously,” Rose said. “They never miss practice. They are team players. They set goals and work to accomplish them each time they run or play a soccer game. It’s the same in school.”
The triplets are part of the school’s larger successful sports program, including competitive esports, basketball, cheerleading, volleyball and cross country.
