For the past 20 years, the Communities of Salt and Light Award Dinner, sponsored by Catholic Charities, has recognized outstanding individuals or groups in three categories.
This year’s honorees are:

HUMANITARIAN
Barbara Zucconi
Beyond working and volunteering at her parish, St. Anne in Rostraver, Barbara organizes the Christmas Angel Tree program and is a hospital minister and Fresh Express volunteer, as well as a regular participant in various diocesan functions.

PHILANTHROPY
Dr. and Mrs. Primo and Henna Bautista
The Bautistas, parishioners of Our Lady of Grace Parish, Greensburg, support the International Priests program in the diocese. They have organized several volunteer medical mission trips to their native Philippines to help the sick and the poor.

OUTSTANDING HUMAN SERVICE ORGANIZATION
Shop With A Cop
Founded by Trooper Stephen Limani with the help of the Pennsylvania State Police in Greensburg, this organization has raised nearly $400,000 and provided holiday shopping trips to more than 3,000 children in need.
