
St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish Marks 175th Anniversary

INDIANA – August 21- 2022 – St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish in Indiana culminated a yearlong celebration of the 175th anniversary of the church’s formation with Mass celebrated by Bishop Larry J. Kulick on Sunday, August 21. Parishioners have been celebrating the historic anniversary over the past year. In his homily, Bishop Kulick said the parish is a vibrant beacon on the hill.
Parishioners organized yearlong fund-raising service projects throughout the parish and in the community leading up to the celebration. Father Richard N. Owens, OFM, Cap., pastor, along with an anniversary committee, came up with the idea for a yearlong community outreach celebration as a means of continued evangelization.
Following the Mass, parishioners gathered for a reception at the Indiana Country Club.
