Sharing our Gifts: 2022 Diocesan Lenten Appeal

Dear Friends in Christ,

The pandemic has been a difficult and trying time as we have realized our own human frailty and mortality. But I am especially proud that our parishes in the Diocese of Greensburg have truly accompanied people through these challenging times. Thousands of volunteers have continued their mission work for seniors, infants and expectant mothers, as well as the sick and homebound. Generous donations made by our faithful parishioners have supported dozens of food banks and food pantries in the four counties of our Diocese. Additionally, more than a million dollars was raised and distributed to help the poor last year alone.

Here in the Diocese of Greensburg is where the rubber meets the road. We have not only talked the talk, but we have most certainly walked the walk. I am humbled by the generous support of our faithful parishioners. The gifts you share support our mission to carry on the love and mercy of Christ.

I ask you to prayerfully consider supporting us again this year during the 2022 Diocesan Lenten Appeal called “Sharing Our Gifts.” The tidal wave of post-pandemic need has reached our
community, and we must continue to respond. Visit DioceseofGreensburg.org/SharingOurGifts
to learn more about making a donation.

As we embark on Lent this year, I encourage you to reflect upon how blessed we are that we will eventually move into a period of renewal, a “spiritual springtime” so to speak, that transitions us from Lent to Easter just as the death of Christ leads us to the glory of the Resurrection.

May God Bless You,

The Most Reverend Larry J. Kulick, J.C.L.

Bishop of Greensburg
