Bishop Kulick to celebrate Mass at Annual March for Life

GREENSBURG – JAN 19 – Bishop Larry J. Kulick will travel to Washington, D.C., Jan. 19-20 to participate with the faithful in the annual March For Life.

With the overturning of Roe v. Wade last year by the United States Supreme Court, organizers of the march say they will continue to rally to change laws at the state and federal levels and to ultimately make abortion unthinkable.

On Jan. 19, Bishop Kulick will join in the opening Mass and National Prayer Vigil for Life at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. Both will be broadcast live on EWTN. 

On Jan. 20, Bishop Kulick will gather with the faithful who have traveled from the Diocese of Greensburg to participate in the march. He will celebrate Mass at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at 10:30 a.m.

For those not traveling to the March for Life, the Greensburg Diocesan Council of the National Council of Catholic Women will host a “Pray for Life Day” Jan. 20 at Christ Our Shepherd Center, Greensburg, beginning with Rosary for Priests at 11:30 a.m. Mass will celebrated by Father Eric J. Dinga, pastor of the partner parishes of Christ Prince of Peace, Ford City, and St. Lawrence, Cadogan. The day’s schedule also includes Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Rosary for Life at 1:30 p.m., Stations of the Cross – “A Reflection on the Trafficking of Human Persons” at 2:15 p.m., Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3 p.m., Litany for Life at 3:30 p.m., and closing prayer and Benediction at 4 p.m.
