Bishop Kulick blesses ultrasound machine at Connellsville pregnancy support center

CONNELLSVILLE – Oct. 30 – Ecumenical leaders, community and board members gathered at Alternatives. Yes. Pregnancy Support Center in Connellsville, as Bishop Larry J. Kulick blessed a new ultrasound machine at the facility and dedicated the room housing the machine to the late Sister Catherine Meinert, SC.   The new ultrasound machine was purchased through the generosity of donors and the Knights of Columbus.

“The ultrasound machine is so important because it will help many, in a very concrete way, to see and recognize the sanctity of life,” Bishop Kulick said. The blessing of the ultrasound machine came a day before Respect Life Month came to an end.

After blessing the ultrasound machine and the room in which it is housed, Bishop Kulick remembered Sister Catherine Meinert, SC.  The room the dedicated to Sister Meinert, who passed away in July.

“As a Sister of Charity, she exemplified her foundress, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, in being charitable in all that we do, including her work in the pro-life movement,” Bishop Kulick said.

Bishop Kulick hopes the new equipment will enable those who are facing an unexpected pregnancy to experience the love of Christ. “My prayer is that it changes hearts and minds and draws all into the mystery of God’s love,” Bishop Kulick said.
