His Excellency, The Most Reverend Larry J. Kulick, JCL, Bishop of Greensburg, has made the following appointments and announcements:

 Effective: Thursday, January 4, 2024

Completion of Term:

The Reverend Monsignor Gilbert Gente concludes his duties as Pastor of Saint Mary, Mother of God Parish, Freeport, with the completion of his five-year term of ministry in the United States and is returning to the Diocese of Ipil in the Philippines. 

The Reverend Elmer Q. Alforque concludes his duties as Administrator of Saint John the Baptist Parish, Scottdale and Saint Joseph Parish, Everson, with the completion of his five-year term of ministry in the United States and is returning to the Diocese of Ipil in the Philippines. 

Administrator:

The Very Reverend Kenneth G. Zaccagnini, VF, as Administrator Pro Tem of Saint Mary, Mother of God Parish, Freeport, while remaining Pastor of Saint Margaret Mary Parish, Lower Burrell and Saint Joseph, Mt. St. Peter and Saint Mary of Czestochowa Parishes in New Kensington.  Fr. Zaccagnini continues as Vicar Forane of Deanery III and remains in all other Diocesan appointments.

The Very Reverend Paul A. Lisik, VF, as Administrator of Saint John the Baptist Parish in Scottdale and Saint Joseph Parish, Everson, while remaining Pastor of Saint Rita, Immaculate Conception and Saint John the Evangelist Parishes, Connellsville, Saint Aloysius Parish, Dunbar, and remaining as Administrator of Saint Pius X and Visitation Parishes, Mt. Pleasant.  Father Lisik continues as Vicar Forane of Deanery VI and remains in all other Diocesan appointments.

Parochial Vicar:

The Reverend Edwin Rubido to Parochial Vicar of Saint John the Baptist Parish, Scottdale, Saint Joseph Parish, Everson while as remaining Parochial Vicar of Saint Rita, Immaculate Conception and Saint John the Evangelist Parishes, Connellsville and Saint Aloysius Parish, Dunbar with residence in Saint John the Evangelist Rectory, Connellsville.

The Reverend Peter Guardiano to Parochial Vicar of Saint John the Baptist Parish, Scottdale, Saint Joseph Parish, Everson while as remaining Parochial Vicar of Saint Rita, Immaculate Conception and Saint John the Evangelist Parishes, Connellsville and Saint Aloysius Parish, Dunbar with residence in Saint Aloysius Rectory, Dunbar.

The Reverend Mark R. Dunmire, to Parochial Vicar of Saint Rita, Immaculate Conception and Saint John the Evangelist Parishes in Connellsville, Saint Aloysius Parish, Dunbar, Saint John the Baptist Parish, Scottdale, Saint Joseph Parish, Everson with a residence in Saint John the Evangelist Parish Rectory, Connellsville.

Transitional Deacon:

 Deacon John Torres is assigned as a Transitional Deacon to Saint John the Baptist Parish in Scottdale and Saint Joseph Parish, Everson, while remaining in his Diaconal assignment at Saint Rita, Immaculate Conception and Saint John the Evangelist Parishes, Connellsville, Saint Aloysius Parish, Dunbar, Visitation and Saint Pius X Parishes, Mt. Pleasant. Deacon Torres will have his residence in Saint Joseph Rectory in Everson.
