GREENSBURG – Jan 5 – Bishop Larry J. Kulick will lead a delegation of pilgrims from the Diocese of Greensburg for the annua March for Life March in Washington, DC on January 19.
On January 18, Bishop Kulick will attend The National Prayer Vigil for Life, held on the eve of the March for Life each January. Thousands of pilgrims from across the nation pray for an end to abortion and a greater respect for all human life. It is held at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. The National Prayer Vigil for Life is one small part of the Church’s “great prayer for life.” It is sponsored by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) Pro-Life Secretariat, the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and The Catholic University of America Office of Campus Ministry. The Mass will be will be televised by EWTN and livestreamed on the Basilica’s webpage.
On Friday, January 19, Bishop Kulick will celebrate Mass for the pilgrims from the Diocese of Greensburg attending the National March for Life at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at the National Shrine. Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Following the Mass, Bishop Kulick will join those from the Diocese to participate in the March for Life at 1:00 p.m.
Two parish-based groups are sending buses this year.

For those traveling to the March on their own, you are welcome to attend Mass with Bishop Kulick at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel in the National Basilica at 10:30 AM and to march with Bishop beginning at the corner of Constitution and 12th Street around 1:00 PM.
